The Doomed DAO describes itself as an autonomous organization devoted specifically to collecting, studying, and promoting XCOPY’s digital art, while expressly stating that it has no direct affiliation with the artist.1 Its published structure combines invitation-only membership, member governance, a founding-member acquisition committee, research, and XCOPYBook, which it calls a living catalogue of XCOPY’s KnownOrigin period.1 In December 2025, its members and SuperRare curator An Rong co-curated “Tech Won’t Save Us,” an XCOPY solo exhibition in New York examining mortality, identity, alienation, and collectors’ evolving role in blockchain art.2
The same page states that the DAO and affiliated parties do not sell its TechWontSaveUs membership token, and that the nine founding members who form the acquisition committee vote in secret to prevent front-running.1 In September 2026 the DAO’s X account presented XCOPY’s Traitors and Gobble as “Part of The Doomed DAO collection.”34
