Kanbas presents itself as a family collection shaped by its founders’ childhood exposure to public art in Caracas and later years in the San Francisco Bay Area, with an intervening period in Brazil.1 It initially emphasized Latin American artists as a way to connect art, family education, and cultural heritage, then expanded into digital art to reflect contemporary technological life.1 The collection describes its program as a bridge between twentieth-century Latin American innovation and digital art.1 Its public film series extends that mission through artist conversations, including films with Beeple, Mpkoz, and Larva Labs about kinetic sculpture, physical practice, and onchain digital art.2
In August 2025 Kanbas wrote that Deathwave completed “our trilogy of XCOPY 1/1s”, works that together “tell a broader story about power, perception, and the future of personal freedom in the digital age.”3
This profile records Kanbas’s XCOPY collection at the wallet below. Previously listed here as Anonymous, the collector was identified by the site editor on 7 October 2026.

Building the collection
The supplied provenance research dates the wallet’s first funding to 8 April 2024. Several XCOPY acquisitions followed that day, including The Deadness, Disintegration, No Favour (cold), Do Nothing (new variant), SIMULACRUM and TRAITORS.
The KnownOrigin collection grew through April with The Doomed, The Damage, The State of Us (blue) and The Doomed (black & red). RESIST followed in June and EYE-ROLLA in October. These are copies from editioned works, rather than unique 1/1 artworks.
The research also records EMPIRE THINGS in March 2025 and purchases from NFTBoxes and Kolectiv. The Kolectiv titles and artist attribution were not verified, so those purchases should not be treated as confirmed XCOPY works.

The amounts below are reported acquisition costs from the research dated 6 October 2026. They were calculated from settlement flows and may include fees; the edition links provide each copy’s recorded history.

Funding and collecting pattern
The report estimates approximately 349.2 ETH spent across the wider acquisition ledger. It attributes 133.5 ETH of funding to the address labelled Coinbase 33 and a further 215.65 ETH to Coinbase 10, alongside a 5.49 ETH withdrawal through the Base bridge. These are historical research figures, not a current portfolio valuation.
No outbound artwork sale was identified in the report’s review. The concentrated purchases and subsequent retention suggest a collecting pattern, although wallet activity alone cannot establish the owner’s intentions.
Collector attribution
The original research dated 6 October 2026 found no linked identity on the marketplace profiles it checked. The site editor subsequently identified this wallet as Kanbas and supplied the X account @Kanbas_. This attribution updates the collector name; the historical acquisition research remains separately sourced below.
