Max Osiris describes himself as a painter and crypto artist who began tokenising work in August 2018; his practice combines digital collage, glitch, meme culture, Dadaist reference, neo-surrealism, and psychedelic imagery.1 His biography records that he co-organised a physical crypto-art group exhibition at Los Angeles’s Innerspace Gallery in 2019.1 Galerie Nagel Draxler subsequently included his work in the 2021 exhibition “Breadcrumbs: Art in the Age of NFTism,” curated by Kenny Schachter and conceived around relationships between physical and digital art.2 Sotheby’s included three works by Osiris in its 2023 New York sale “Glitch: Beyond Binary”; its catalogue describes his stated practice as “transdimensional surrealism and new-wave psychedelic art.”3
