Redlion’s published history credits Redlioneye with introducing the Redlion Gazette in September 2020 and creating its first nine covers.1 The Gazette combined articles documenting NFT, cryptocurrency, and wider historical events with commissioned cover art issued as digital tokens.1 Designer Dudly joined after acquiring issue eight, then helped create the website, branding, and subsequent cover presentation as the endeavour developed into the Redlion project.1 Redlioneye also remained an artist within the publication: the Gazette’s ArtDrops catalogue attributes “Into the Sunset: The Lions’ Legacy,” released for issue 187, to the same @redlioneye handle.2
