GLOW is a pseudonymous collector and maker of meme-based digital works whose OpenSea profile describes the account holder as an ‘NFT Connoisseur’.1 GLOW’s X profile, which links to the same OpenSea account, points to two series issued under the name: Fine Art Memes and Exploration Loot. Fine Art Memes is a set of animated works recreating famous paintings, among them Holbein’s The Ambassadors, Ingres’s La Grande Odalisque and Caspar David Friedrich’s Wanderer above the Sea of Fog, several retitled as Pepe variations such as La Grande Pepelisque.2 Exploration Loot is a series of ‘Meme Loot Cards’, each pairing an image with a quotation, made by GLOW with CC0 rights from Meme.com.3
