Fousion Gallery describes ilan katin, born in 1972, as a Berlin-based artist working primarily in nonfigurative drawing, with additional installation and live-visual practices.1 The gallery says he has collaborated with musician Jasmine Guffond since 2013, using computer-generated imagery and projection to accompany performances; his process involves repeatedly listening for forms suggested by sound and deciding which visual elements should be rehearsed or manipulated live.1 Katin’s own site documents an ongoing daily-art project begun in 2014. Its recent iterations have combined physical drawing, animation, digital photography, cut paper, digitally augmented derivatives, music releases, and comics.2

Discussing token distribution on X in August 2025, Katin compared the early gifting of CryptoPunks to friends and associates with “how xcopy air dropped the doom token.”3
