In an October 2020 interview, Axie Infinity presented cloudwhite as an early community content creator who had directed and appeared in an Axie musical and produced related videos and music.1 Cloudwhite said the moniker came from a CryptoKitties base colour he collected after encountering digital collectibles in 2018.1 He described having studied 16mm film in art school and making direct animation by physically manipulating film, then digitally transferring and looping that work.1 At the time of the interview, he identified himself professionally as a casting director and described his broader practice as experimentation across media and concepts.1
