Art Blocks identifies artplusbrad as Brad, an abstract artist whose long-form generative practice draws on Color Field painting, Minimalism, and Abstract Expressionism.1 His Art Blocks project Ode to Roy was released in the Factory category on May 4, 2021, as 906 unique works.1 Art Blocks describes the project as an homage to Roy Lichtenstein, combining Ben-Day and halftone dots, angled stripes, solid colour patches, and references to Lichtenstein’s sea and landscape paintings.1 The platform also lists Ode to Untitled, Dead Air, Mellifera, and Undercover among his other generative projects.1
Artplusbrad’s collecting history includes an early copy of Last Selfie. In November 2024, Raoul Pal announced acquiring the work from him for The Culture Vault and identified him as its original minter.
